Awesome bird watching tour!

This was an amazing bird watching tour. Marvin was very knowledgeable about every bird that we saw. He knew the birds we were most interested in seeing and made sure to point them out. You have to get up early in the morning when the birds are most active but I highly recommend it!
Amazing Birding experience

One of the most amazing birds trip I have had in a while. Marvin is extremely knowledgeable and and an extremely pleasant personality. It was a pure joy looking for birds early morning. With Marvins knowledge and some luck from the day we were able to see quite a few birds on the trip that were on my checklist. Highly recommended this tour with Marvin.
So many birdies

Totally recommend it, even for non-bird watching enthusiasts. Many, many different varieties of birds, including a baby owl and a beautiful sunset to end it all.
This man knows his birds!

Marvin is a genious! The second you step out of his van he starts pointing out one spectacular bird after another. Saw Scarlets, falcons, parakeets, toucans, herons, you name it! He really makes sure you see all the good stuff, and so passionate, too! He lets you take pictures through his telescope, or takes them for you because it takes some practice. After the tour he sents you the entire list of what you have seen in those 2 hours. Man that was an extensive list. So worth it!
Lots of Birds!!

Marvin Parra, our guide was excellent! And this guy knows birds!! He picked us up at 5:30 AM, promptly as we had booked. We took a fairly short drive and I have to admit, when we arrived at our destination, I though, "Really? We're going to see birds here?". But as soon as we got our of the very comfortable van, we heard all kinds of birds, singing, squawking and calling. It was still kind of dark but we could hear all kinds of birds. Very soon the sun was up and Marvin set up his scope and started spotting birds. He let us view them through the scope and the views were beautiful! I am a bird photographer but my wife is not. My wife spent more time with Marvin and his scope than I did as I was running around getting photos. My wife was THRILLED with everything Marvin was showing her. We all moved around in the area, finding different birds in different areas. Marvin used his vast knowledge of birds to identify them and then would show us pictures in his bird book of what we were seeing. In all, Marvin recorded that we saw 35 different bird species in 2 hours. I actually got photos of a few more than that, sometimes finding something on my own while Marvin was showing my wife something. (I'm an experienced birder, otherwise I would have stayed right with Marvin).

We saw two kinds of Toucans, Scarlet Macaws, two kinds of Costa Rican Falcons, Parakeets, Vultures and a wide array of unique songbirds of all colours.

Overall, we were very, very happy with this trip! Money well spent, for sure! My wife couldn't believe all the beautiful birds she saw.

When we got back to the van for the trip back to the hotel, Marvin had bottles of cold water for us which was very welcomed! His van was air-conditioned and comfortable and he pointed out points of interest as we drove back.

We would do this tour again in a second! Thanks, Marvin - it was great!
