Overzicht

Maak kennis met een van de belangrijkste bestemmingen tijdens uw bezoek aan Costa Rica. Deze stad zonder toegang via de weg zal je een natuurlijk paradijs laten zien dat je zal betoveren.

In de vroege ochtend gaat uw gids u zoeken in uw hotel in San José. Onderweg zal hij je vertellen over Costa Rica en Tortuguero. Halverwege stoppen we voor het ontbijt voordat we de boot nemen om dit merkwaardige stadje te bereiken.

Zodra alles is geregeld in je kamer in de lodge aan de rand van het kanaal, kun je eten voordat je 's middags vertrekt om de stad met de gids te bezoeken. Diner ook in de lodge.

De volgende dag zult u 2 bezoeken maken, een voor de lodge reservering en een andere per boot door de Tortuguero-kanalen (toegang tot het Nationaal Park niet inbegrepen). Natuurlijk zijn alle maaltijden in de lodge tussen de excursies in.

De derde dag na het ontbijt keert u per boot terug naar San José of als u Guápiles verkiest van waar u verbinding kunt maken met een andere bestemming in Costa Rica.

Amazing wildlife experience

We went in July in the rainy season but got really lucky with the weather so I wouldn’t let it put you off - as we almost didn’t book due to this!
The journey from San Jose and back was very long but that was due to a land slide on the main road but the bus was comfortable enough.
Most importantly in Tortuguero we saw loads of wildlife! The morning boat tour was a highlight- we saw crocodiles, caimans, monkeys, lizards and loads of birds. The guides were very knowledgeable.
We also went on the extra trip to see the sea turtles nesting on the beach - this was truly a once in a lifetime experience. We were initially put off by the price but it was definitely worth it.
The lodge itself (Pachira Lodge) was comfortable and basic and the food was fine for two nights.
Overall would definitely recommend was an amazing experience to see plenty of wildlife.

A wonderful excursion to the rain forest and the village of Tortuguero

Superb trip. Pachira Lodge was rustic, but had everything we needed. Fernando (the tour leader) was superb!! He made the trip. Very knowledgeable and very personable. He is a font of knowledge. The bilingual tour was a bit distracting, but was very interesting nevertheless. Can't recommend this tour enough.

A good tour to Tortuguero

We went on November after the turtle season is over and got 3 days of rain, nevertheless we were able to go on boat tours and see some of the local wildlife. The Laguna lodge where we staied is a nice place to stay, if you are not expecting luxury. Food was very good. Our guide Sebastian was a fantastic help and all the boat skipers were extremely helpfull in spoting animals and birds. The visit to Tortuguero "tipical" village is not necessary, only if you are realy into touristic souvenirs.

Die Tour ist sehr zu empfehlen! Ich habe in der Pachita Lodge übernachtet und fand die ganze Anlage sehr schön. Die Reiseleiter sind absolut top. Bereits auf der Busfahrt erfährt man eine Menge Interessantes (nicht nur langweilige Zahlen und Daten).
Zwischendurch gab es manchmal Verwirrung, weil man ständig Infos gesagt bekommt, wo man sich wann trifft etc., aber wenn man mal was nicht mitbekommen hat, ist immer jemand da, den man fragen kann. Wichtig: unbedingt merken, welche Übernachtung man gebucht hat, denn man wird dann in ein entsprechendes Boot gesetzt, das einen dort hinbringt.
Die Bootsfahrt zur Lodge war schon toll. Ich hatte in einer Rezension gelesen, dass es auf der Fahrt vor lauter Tiergeräuschen so laut sei, dass man nichts mehr versteht. Ich war ein bisschen enttäuscht, da es auf unserer Fahrt eher leise war. Kein Brüllaffe hat gebrüllt. Die haben wir aber später in der Lodge und auf den Touren gehört und gesehen. Außerdem eine Menge anderer Tiere (Jesus Christ Lizzard, Kaimane, Tukane, rote Fröschchen, Faultiere, Spider Monkeys,…)
Was die Touren betrifft, fand ich die Schildkröten-Tour die beste. Auch die Wanderung zu einem kleinen Berg ist empfehlenswert und der geführte Rundgang auf dem Gelände der Lodge. Die Guides sind absolut professionell und haben ein unheimlich großes Wissen über die tolle Natur der Gegend. Es sind Einheimische, die in der Region aufgewachsen sind, was alles sehr authentisch macht.
Ich könnte noch so viel mehr schwärmen von dieser tollen Tour. Absolut empfehlenswert!!!

Vacaciones inolvidables gracias a Natua Travel. José Luis gran profesional que ha cuidado cada detalle. Todo estaba perfectamente organizado y no hemos tenido que preocuparnos por nada. Repetiré con ellos la próxima vez.
