Our driver was amazing but we were in an accident- motorcycle crashed into van and I hit my head. Our fri Er not at fault

Great Trip!

Our travel agent had booked our trip from San Jose Airport down to the Quespos area ahead of our trip. We were met as scheduled by Marvin Parra at the the airport. Marvin spoke very good English and was very courteous, loading our bags into his van as we headed off for the 3+ hour drive. Along the way, Marvin told us lots about Costa Rica; the culture, some history, some points of interest and other interesting tidbits. He had cold bottles of water for us (a nice touch!) and told us just to speak up if we needed a bathroom stop or just a rest to stretch our legs. He also asked if we would like to stop to see wild Crocodiles. Yes please!

We stopped at a river crossing the highway and as promised, there were several large crocodiles sunning themselves on the river bank. I got some great pictures from the bridge! As an added bonus, 2 Scarlet Macaws landed in an Almond Tree right beside the van and I got fabulous photos of them!

We continued our journey to our hotel in Quepos and Marvin continued to act as a great tour guide telling us about the area and things we were seeing along the drive. This was NOT just a standard shuttle from airport to hotel. It was an educational, interesting, enjoyable drive with a great driver/host.

Prior to arriving in Costa Rica we weren’t quite sure how we were going to make the 3 hour journey from San Jose Airport to our hotel in Manuel Antonio. We looked at various methods but in the end felt it would be best if we went with a private transfer.
I booked with Marvin before we’d even left the UK so I knew we’d have it sorted. Communication from Marvin was great and I felt a definite trust that he would be there to pick us up! Sure enough he and Maria were there and off we went. We had a magical 3 hour drive. Marvin is HUGELY knowledgable and his English is fantastic. He even taught me quite a lot of Spanish which I am very grateful for! We stopped on route to see some Crocodiles too. The car was spacious with A/C and water. Marvin and Maria were very professional and a joy to be with. If you need a private transfer to or from Manuel Antonio I cannot recommend Marvin enough. If we come back I know who I’m going to call!

My husband and I booked this family owned business for transfers from the San Jose airport to Manuel Antonio and back again when our vacation ended. Marvin was very professional and knowledgeable answering all of our questions along the way. He was waiting for us at the airport when we landed and picked us up at our condo on time for the drive back to San Jose in plenty of time to make our flight home. Any worries I had about hiring a private driver vanished upon meeting Marvin. I will definitely use Marvin again next time I am in Costa Rica!

A Lifesaver!

This worked out great for us! The driver met us at the airport and took us straight to the hotel near the Arenal Volcano. I was debating about renting a car and am glad I didn't do it. As it turned out, a value added tax went into effect a couple of days after we were there and the truckers blocked the roads and I would have never been able to figure out how to get to the next place! This driver had given me his phone number and I texted with him and he got us picked up from Arenal by his company and taken to Manuel Antonio and then we contacted him again when we needed to go back to SJO to get out flight home. He was a lifesaver! We never saw him after the first trip but he arranged all our other trips for us with his company, on his own time! The vans were clean and all had water and WIFI. They were great!
