Memorable and Magical

Fun and informative. Our guide Braulio was terrific. We were picked up at the bank in Puerto Viejo and took about a 30 minute van ride to the BriBri reserve.
We met Catato López, a community elder, who showed how many of the plants are used for medicine, tools, food, and weaving.
We roasted and ground cocoa beans, drinking hot cocoa from dried gourds.
The second part of our trip was a short hike and refreshing swim at a nearby waterfall.
Highly recommended visit to experience one of the several indigenous cultures in Costa Rica.
Great tour

We had a great morning with Braulio. He collected us right on time and we headed off to a community in Bribri where we learnt a ton of facts about local people, plants and wildlife. We were amazed at the information and facts he shared with us.
The chocolate making was a big hit and a lovely treat in some roasted bananas and even turned into hot chocolate.
Then we drove to the waterfall where we were able to change before walking down to the water. It was total bliss and although we were only supposed to be half an hour, Braulio let us enjoy it for an hour because he could see how much fun the kids were having.
A very personable, friendly and well informed tour. I would definitely recommend.
Fantastic Tour!

The chocolate making was not only fun but also educational. Braulio walked us around the Bribri site explaining the lifestyle and usage of the local flora and fauna. We saw rubber trees, turmeric, mint, frogs, walking stick bugs, and dozens more. The chocolate was delicious and fascinating. Then on to the gorgeous waterfall! He knew the time to go to avoid the crowds. We swam and soaked up that beautiful scene. Totally worth it. Would recommend
