Overview

Looking for sloths in the rain forest. You will meet with the naturalist guide at 8:00 am in Ecocentro Danaus Ecological Reserve La Fortuna, to star our tour. An easy and fun walk to find these beautiful creatures, the sloth is one of the most sought after animals by our visitors which has led them to become a national symbol. We have designed a special tour to be able to observe as many sloths as possible in a short period of time, visiting their favorite habitats with the help of a professional naturalist guide, you will be able to observe, photograph, learn about the natural history and conservation of these animals. An educational trip where families with small children and teenagers will also find lots of fun and learn about nature conservation.
Note: This tour does not include transportation service but it can be organized with an additional cost if you require it.

We have designed a special tour in La Fortuna to be able to observe as many sloths as possible in a short period of time, visiting their favorite habitats in secondary gallery forests, with the help of a professional naturalist guide you will be able to observe, photograph, learn about the natural history and conservation of these animals. This is an easy and fun walk to find these beautiful creatures, the sloth are one of the most iconic animals in our country, which has led them to become a national symbol. We will meet our guide at the agreed place after booking the tour to start our walk in search of the sloths.

Approachable and great rainforest wildlife experience!

This was a great rainforest wildlife experience! None of the negatives (distance nor animal mistreatment) of other spots. The staff is amazing and they helped us find some of the wildlife we couldn’t find on our own. We even saw both types of sloths! We didn’t realize we had driven in with a flat tire by accident and the staff were so wonderful that they literally changed it without batting an eye and even told us where we could get the tire repaired nearby!

Worth the Visit!

Had a great visit here. Mayron was a wonderful guide. Knew his stuff. Saw both 2 and 3 toed sloths, toucans, dart frogs etc. Very interesting visit. This is a great place to go - there's another sloth place more in Fortuna, but we'd heard nothing good about it - don't know - but were extremely happy with this place. Highly recommend. Don't let tripadvisor scare you with all the phony baloney wuhan death threats or all the "was it safe" nonsense! Get out - go - have fun - take zinc, vitamin D, go diet practices, exercise and SUN!
