Highlight of our trip!

This day was the highlight of our week in Costa Rica!

Alberto was our guide and was great. He had stories about the area's history and could tell us anything about what we were seeing. He also prepared a wonderful surprise pineapple and plantain snack while at the falls that we have been doing our best to replicate ever since!

The bridges and falls are beautiful, but we loved our time at lunch the most. Spending time with our wonderful hostess (I am sorry to say I don't remember her name), who showed us how to make tortillas, served a delicious local lunch and allowed us to relax in her home with the beautiful surroundings and some friendly dogs! We also ground sugar cane to syrup and made a cocktail from ingredients from the grounds.

If you want to see the real Costa Rica, we recommend this trip enthusiastically!
A five star experience

This tour was the last tour of our 10 day stay in Costa Rica. Simply stated, we were blown away.

Cara, the owner and founder of Luna Vida Adventures, has decades of experience in high end tourism, has a heart of gold and genuinely cares about her clients and our experience as well as the women she partners with in Costa Rica.

For us, the small details like this matter. Providing an amazing experience peppered with educational conversation about the flora, fauna, wildlife, town and its people are amazing. Pair this with her efforts to support local communities, particularly the women who often have little opportunities to earn their own income - this was a five star tour.

This hike was very comfortable. The natural bridges were super cool and tasting various fruits right off the trees as we walked? Priceless. We saw several waterfalls, sooo many brilliant blue butterflies, birds of all types and an array of plant life. It’s the off season but I’m not sure it wasn’t the best time to go.

We relaxed in the warm waters pooling around a gorgeous waterfall and enjoyed fresh pineapple waiting for us.

Cara, you made our trip. We had several “favorite” tours before we met you. This tour was hands down, easily our favorite. You can’t get any more authentic than this.

We will rebook with Cara for sure. If you’re thinking about it, this is your sign. Nope, no one paid me to write this - it was that good!

Amazing - Highly Recommend!

This was an amazing experience and one of the highlights of our Costa Rica trip. Where do I start. The hike itself was beautiful as was the waterfall at the end. It was so amazing to have the whole hike and waterfall to ourselves and not having any other folks around. We really got to enjoy the whole experience. The lunch was delicious, and we loved the garden tour at the end. Also, the whole reason we had such a great time is all due to Alberto. He was absolutely fantastic. Definitely recommend this if you are in the area. However, one note, would let them if you are afraid of heights or mountain terrains so they can plan accordingly.
Great hike

The road trip up to the hanging bridges was a fantastic ride. To be experienced for sure. The cultural lunch was amazing to be in the heart of the future of Costa Rica. Swimming in the waterfall was another highlight and knowledge from the tour guide was excellent.
Amazing adventure

We had a wonderful day exploring the rainforest, swimming in pools below the waterfalls and sharing a meal together with a sweet family in a village. Cara is an excellent guide with lots of knowledge about the area. She truly engaged our grand daughters who were 7 and 10! Lunch with Carona and Victor was wonderful. They are a sweet, welcoming couple who are willing to share their home and life with guests. The journey along the way was fun walking along hanging bridges, hiking and riding in a local truck. Cara makes this a great day and becomes a friend!
