Coopelesca R.L is an Electrification cooperative that has more than 104,000 associates; Its concession area in the Northern Zone of Costa Rica is 4,770km2, and it has been awarded the Carbon Neutral certification for 7 consecutive years.
The Cooperative generates 90% of the electrical energy that its associates demand from renewable sources; For this, it has five hydroelectric plants (Cubujuquí, Chocosuelas, Aguas Zarcas, Platanar and La Esperanza) and a Solar Park.
By taking this Tour you will know in detail the Electricity Generation process and the importance of using clean sources that do not cause damage to the environment when generating electricity.
