The archipielago Las Catalina is considered among the most attractive dive sites in Costa Rica. It is an area where divers often find themselves surrounded by large schools of colorful fish. The volcanic rock formations provide a spectacular variety of marine life from nudibranchs to Pacific Reef sharks, cleaner and pelagic fish, octopus and eels are common on every dive.
There are several dive sites with depths ranging from 45 ft. to more than 85ft. Visibility depends upon the levels of plankton and nutrients. It varies from 25 ft. to 60 ft., with an average of 35 ft. approximately.
