Overview

We provide a horseback ride for all skill levels and do only one tour a day. The tour will take place on quiet backroads and private, protected jungle. Personal attention and tranquility are guaranteed.

NOTE: This is a private activity. Other guests will not participate in the same activity at the same time!

Well taken care-of animals are a priority to us, all horses are well-fed and only perform one tour a day. All my animals, including horses, dogs and cats, are allowed to graze and move freely every day. All horses are ridden bitless, which means no metal in their mouths, and receive natural horsemanship training. You will see and feel the difference.

This tour is especially suited for people who appreciate horseback riding and prefer a more challenging ride. However, we also accommodate beginners by choosing easier trails and spending more time on teaching how to handle a horse.

The place was gorgeous. And the horses were not only beautiful, but friendly as well. The tour guide , Marcus, provided us with fresh fruit that he grew himself. And his assistant accompanied us the whole way, on foot, to make sure everything was going well with the horses.

The horseback tour is truly is a spectacular experience! The property is easy to get to by taxi (about a 25 minute drive from Manuel Antonio/Quepos for about $25 each way). Markus is so kind and knowlegeable and makes you feel comfortable on the horses. His property is stunning and well-maintained, and there are some gorgeous surprises along the way! The horses were so beautiful and well-behaved. The three hours flew by! Would do it again in a heartbeat, so wonderful! :)

What a fun adventure. A perfect mix of riding, hiking and swimming! Markus is very knowledgeable and shared lots of fun jungle tidbits. He also made sure were safe and comfortable with everything as we went along. Private transportation to and from our home was a huge help. Would definitely do it again!

We had an incredible experience with Markus on this horseback journey. Markus was a wonderful guide and his property is absolutely stunning. His horses are well trained and easy to ride. I would highly recommend this as a way to see the beauty of the Costa Rica jungle as well as amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. All in all, this was a perfect half day trip and a great value for the cost. Even the opportunity presented itself, I would not hesitate to do it again. Thank you Markus!

Peaceful Ride through a Picturesque Jungle

We had a great time riding the horses with Markus, and his assistant was super helpful along the way. You can tell he really cares about all of his animals with the way he talks about his horses and treats them, in addition to his cute dogs that joined us for the ride to the river and walked alongside us. We had so much fun playing fetch with the dogs and relaxing in the cool water after the first half of our ride. We even rode through a beautiful new waterfall trail which made the experience even more stunning! To top it off, Markus prepared us one of the best lunches we had during our stay in Costa Rica. Would definitely recommend this tour!
