What To Expect

San Jose

We will pick you up from the lobby of your San Jose hotel to begin this day's adventure. Our journey to the Arenal Volcano National Park, where we will engage in a variety of fun activities and spend a wonderful day, will take around three and a half hours.

Arenal Volcano National Park

We will be in the surroundings of the active Arenal Volcano, one of the most visited sites in Costa Rica. The last time this volcano erupted was in 1968 and since then it has had low activity. Due to this, we are unable to climb the volcano or get close to its crater. Nevertheless, we will go to some magnificent locations where you will experience breathtaking vistas that are simply unmatched.

You will be able to witness many birds, some monkeys, reptiles, and insects during our excursion if luck is on our side. The trail is really quite easy to navigate, but we do advise wearing hiking boots.

Don't pass up the chance to carry a camera so you may record some wonderful moments and bring lovely memories home. We advise wearing sun protection, bringing lots of water in a reusable bottle, comfortable clothing, and even a swimming suit in case you want to get in the water when we visit the Fortuna Waterfalls.

Arenal Hanging Bridges

Our next destination on the tour will be a stunning natural park that is encircled by a dense forest. The hanging bridges in this park, which offer spectacular scenery of the forest and unmatched landscapes, are one of its main draws.

This location is only 15 minutes distant from Arenal Volcano.

La Fortuna Waterfall

Our journey to the La Fortuna Waterfalls, our next stop, will take 30 minutes. The Arenal Volcano National Park contains a protected area where the waterfall is located. We'll be able to see the breathtaking waterfall that makes everyone who sees it gasp. Following a very pleasant walk near the entrance, we will be able to admire many perspectives of nature, particularly the waterfall, as well as some enormously beautiful flowers.

Take advantage of your free time at this point and enjoy it to the utmost if you have a bathing suit and feel like swimming.
